We have all been asked this question at some point. Yet many of us probably didn’t know that our current jobs – or current employers – even existed. Our aim is for local businesses to show young people that their dream job might just be one they haven’t even heard of yet!

​Companies in West Lothian who are bringing the world of work to life for young people in the classroom are already benefitting from discovering bright young talent right on their doorstep. Just one interaction can have an immense impact on businesses and young people alike. However, for Developing the Young Workforce to achieve its full potential in West Lothian, we know that we need to give every business in West Lothian the opportunity to engage with education and inspire our local young people. That’s why the DYW Team aims to make the process as simple as possible, connecting businesses with education for the benefit of all involved.

Programme Manager
Sara oversees the delivery of the DYW programme in West Lothian and manages the team to ensure that meaningful relationships are built between employers, education and young people.

Anna Ramsay

Marketing and Administration Assistant 
​From coordinating meetings and events to administering queries, Anna makes sure that all aspects of the project are dealt with quickly, and by the right person.

EXTENDED TEAM

We already have some fantastic board members in our quest to bridge the gap between youth and employment. It’s an absolute pleasure to have these people on the board and we value the time, support and contribution they give us, and ultimately you.
