Location: Newbridge Job Type: Apprenticeship What you need to know: Closes 10/5/2024 This is an Apprentice Warehouse Operative role where you will be trained to pick computer generated orders and maintain high levels of health and safety; working across different areas of the business to enhance your knowledge and skills whilst providing excellent customer service and operating within a safe working environment, ensuring full legal compliance Job role includes: • Pick computer generated orders with repetitive handling/lifting of heavy and large items • Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team • Ensure all documentation is correctly actioned for accuracy of stock. • Transferring stock to its location using a Forklift trucks and cranes • Assisting in the overall production and dispatch of customers’ orders • Keep work area clean and tidy • Maintain high levels of Health and Safety • Maintain regular contact and ensure any issues are communicated • Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements • Operate machinery (only when trained to do so) • Work across various departments to enhance knowledge and skills • Adhere to all apprenticeship KPI’s and fulfil all tasks and any/all briefs and assignments What will I learn? You will learn to use a Forklift, trucks and cranes. You will learn how to carry out jobs while maintain high levels of Health and Safety, how to communicate clearly and effectively. How to operate machinery and work across various departments to enhance knowledge and skills. What qualifications or qualities are required? Minimum Level 5 in English and ideally Maths Essential Requirement • Able to work in a flexible, results oriented, team environment. • Once trained, operating mobile equipment for e.g., FLT, overhead crane, side loader • Able to read written instructions & record accurately work carried out. • Gain a great understanding and experience of Environment, Health, and Safety requirements • Ability to deliver good customer service. • Organised and able to work on own initiative. • A clean driving licence or currently learning to drive, due to the location of site. • IT skills i.e. word, excel, outlook and a willingness to learn. |
