As a member of the Visitor Operations Team at Edinburgh Castle, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to visitors and enhancing their experience of the castle. This post includes weekend working.
You will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience working closely with experienced professionals who will guide you through various tasks and projects. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are looking to start their career and gain practical knowledge.
The Operations Team works hard to provide all aspects of the visitor journey within the castle and is responsible for delivering a world-class visitor experience. This includes a diverse range of activities and this Modern Apprenticeship will cover the three key areas within the castle:
As a Modern Apprentice, you will spend time in each of these areas, taking part in an induction to each part of the Castle to find all about each team. Following this, you will specialise in one area where you will stay for the remainder of your time with Historic Environment Scotland (unless stated otherwise).
You will be assessed against these competencies during our selection process.
