The job will consist of travelling in-between our clients and carrying out personal care around their houses. This may range from cooking and cleaning, to administering medication or going shopping for said client.

This post is Regulated Work with Vulnerable Adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scotland PVG Act 2007. Successful applicants MUST register for the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG).
Working hours per week = 25-37
Work will be carried out around the West Lothian area.
No qualifications or experience required, as all training is offered, for free, in house.

Skills/traits that you may find useful in this job range from effective communication skills to good problem solving, as communicating effectively with clients is essential to giving out good personal care and communicating with colleagues will help to create a productive work environment.
A driver’s licence and access to a car is preferable and will help with travel in-between clients, although is not required as long as the applicant is willing to travel in-between clients on foot/public transport/other mode of transport.
Working hours per week: 25-37Week 1: Monday, Thursday and Friday. Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Shifts range from 7am-9.30pm.
ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT
All applicants who are successful in receiving a place in our organisation will be subjected to a period of training where they will learn the tricks of the trade and gain useful experience, not only in the health sector, but also skills that they can transfer into future employment or in to their everyday life. They will attend training sessions in the office, and also complete shadowing sessions where they will work with a more experienced member of our team, who will show them the ropes and how to work in a care environment. Over this training period, we will help them build their confidence and skills up to a level where they are ready to go and work on their own. During their time here at Careline, the applicant will gain valuable work experience which will not only look good on their CV, but will also show them how the workplace functions, and help them with future employment. Applicants can also work towards their SVQ with us.
