Groundworkers are the first trade onto a construction site and they work closely with supervisors and engineers in interpreting design specifications to prepare the site ready for the structural building works to take place. Their work includes setting out and preparing the site ready for foundations to be laid and the structural work to begin, excavations, installing drainage systems, concreting, constructing roads and pathways and carrying out the finished hard landscaping
The successful candidates will progress through a 24 month training programme, working on site under the direction, guidance and supervision of experienced trades’ people. You will also attend college on a weekly bloc release in the first year.
