Plant Maintenance, Level:3 Apprenticeship
Duration: 3 years

You will be provided with on-the-job training in the workplace working towards a recognised qualification whilst at the same time gaining valuable, paid work experience.
What the Apprenticeship will offer:
Year 1 - Under the guidance of your line manager you will undertake basic tasks such as inspecting plant machinery for operational serviceability in the workplace. You will also attend block release training at Myerscough College in Preston for 16 weeks during Year 1. Accommodation and travel are paid for by the CITB.
Year 2 - You will build on Year 1 experience and will be tasked with diagnosing faults, repairing and servicing plant machinery.
There will be continued study on block release towards your NVQ Level 2 with you attending 10 weeks at Myerscough College.
Year 3 - You will have more responsibility which will include determining and advising on the viability of repair or replacement for returning plant machinery. You will develop your skills to include understanding more complex diagnosis and repair of plant machinery.
During Year 3 there will be continued study on block release towards your NVQ Level 3 with you attending 10 weeks at Myerscough College.
