Location: Livingston Job Type: Apprenticeship What you need to know: Some site exposure is desirable, but not essential We are currently looking for candidates for the position of Apprentice Dryliner.
As an Apprentice Dryliner, you will be paired with a skilled Dryliner and your main duties will include (but are not limited to): – Read drawings to gain a visual understanding of the work involved, then seeing the vision becoming reality by applying your skills. – Assist in setting out for partitions. – Cutting and erecting metal studs then fixing plasterboard to form partitions, from standard separation of spaces into individual rooms, to comply with sound/fire/security barrier strict regulations. – Installing insulation – Installing various types of ceiling systems, either for aesthetics and/or for performance values. – Attend West Lothian College on a day-release basis to further develop and enhance your learning skills and knowledge base.
Skills required are: – Basic English and Maths – Willingness to learn – Good practical skills – Accuracy and attention to detail – Some site exposure is desirable, but not essential.
