Heritage Week

Location: Burgh Halls/Linlithgow Palace
Date: 28th & 29th October
Times: 9.40am-2.30pm
Attendees: 140 S2 students from:
  • Deans Community High School
  • Inveralmond Community High School
  • Linlithgow Academy
  • St Kentigern’s Academy
  • St Margaret’s Academy
  • West Calder High School
  • Winchburgh Academy
  • Cedarbank School

Employers involved: Historic Environment Scotland are running/hosting the event and have been the main organisers.
S2 students will have the opportunity to take part in workshops around Linlithgow focusing on careers within Historic Environment Scotland and the heritage sector. This event has run in previous years to great success, and DYW and HES are excited to be running it again in partnership. The four workshops this year are:
  • Defending Scotland’s Heritage
  • Visitor-Facing roles
  • Rangers
  • Costumed performance
