Here at DYW West Lothian, we are focussed on ensuring that young people are fully prepared for their future career opportunities. We aim to support education to develop young people’s learning about the world of work, and we want to do this in an engaging and innovative way. This involves meaningful employer involvement and support to ensure that young people develop the skills that industry is looking for.
However, we also know that there are other individuals in the community who are keen to support the development of Scotland's future workforce. This is why we have created our funding platform, to provide an opportunity for the West Lothian community to invest in our local young people and allow them to flourish.
By keeping an eye on our funding page, you will have the chance to find out details of local school competitions and projects that require a bit of collective financial input to get off the ground.
It could be that pupils have the chance to compete in local, regional or even national competitions which will develop their business skills and their entrepreneurial spirit. However, to reach the final stages of such competitions, they will often be required to raise capital to fund their participation.
This is where you come in. Whether you can make a small donation or something a bit bigger, it all adds up. When you see details of a project or competition appear on this page, simply click on the entry and follow the link to the Crowdfunding page to make a donation.
On behalf of DYW and the young people we aim to develop, we appreciate your support.
