Velocity Racing are an all-girl team competing in the global STEM competition F1 in Schools.
This is a life-changing opportunity for these girls to represent Scotland, Great Britain - and women - in the World Final in SIngapore in September.
The team must raise the funds to make their own way there and transport their equipment; they require £30,000 by September in order to compete. These amazing girls could be the engineers of the future and you could have a hand in that - what a worthwhile investment.
The girls have raised a hugely impressive £21,000 in a few short months and we are supporting them to try and achieve their final fundraising target. All donations welcome: https://www.gofundme.com/scottish-girls-in-engineering
Let’s get the girls to Singapore and see what the future holds for them!
You may also wish to support in other ways. Please find below the team's "wish list" of in-kind support. If you can help with any of these things, please do not hesitate to contact the DYW team on 01506 414 808 or email firstname.lastname@example.org

The Polar Academy identifies 14-17 year old secondary school children who suffer from low self-esteem and gives them the chance to redefine their physical and mental limits.
10 pupils from Bathgate Academy have been given the opportunity to participate in this life-changing programme and we would like to invite local businesses - and the local community - to offer their support.
Participants are put through a rigorous ten-month training programme before being immersed in the wilds of Greenland, navigating through some of the world's remotest terrain for ten days. Their confidence soars with every step.
On their return to Scotland, each pupil shares their experiences with their peer groups, speaking to thousands of school children in their region. What an opportunity for these pupils to develop their skills and motivation!
The Polar Academy unlocks the vast potential within young adults and turns them into positive role models for their community and families. It inspires the next generation, boosts their confidence and allows them to achieve something significant.
Bathgate Academy would like to invite the local community to get involved in becoming a patron of the charity, and/or supporting with fundraising activity. Your support could help to transform the lives of these local young people.
