Calling all primary schools!
The Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) Regional Groups are launching a social media campaign throughout Scotland, to make young people more aware of job roles within key sectors, as well as the skills and qualities required to succeed in these roles.
We want to encourage young people in the local area to take part in the #DYWKeyWorkers campaign, which will take place week commencing Monday 1st June 2020 and will feature a variety of sectors and job roles.
If you would like to inspire your pupils to think about jobs and careers that have been invaluable in protecting and serving our community, these activities could be the perfect opportunity. Why not get the whole class involved in our #DYWKeyWorkers activities?
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
There are two activities that pupils can get involved in:
Activity 1 - Design your own key worker
Using our template, young people can design what a key worker in their area looks like. Remember to upload completed designs week commencing Monday 1st June 2020 and tag us @DYWWestLothian
Activity 2 - Create your own key worker poem
We want to encourage young people to write their own key worker poem using our template. Remember to post completed poems on social media week commencing Monday 1st June 2020 and tag us @DYWWestLothian
The DYW Team look forward to seeing all the final designs and poems and we would like to thank you in advance for getting involved in this campaign! #DYWKeyWorkers
