local employers host one-day teacher placements

Since 2018, employers from a variety of industry sectors have been hosting industry placements for teachers within West Lothian. Our teacher-industry placements allow practitioners to bring real-life industry experiences into the classroom and increase teacher confidence in speaking to pupils about their future career paths.

Whilst the physical placements have been unable to take place in 2020/21, we are hopeful that we will be able to re-establish the Industry Placement Programme in the near future, where restrictions allow.
